ImageOn the back of the Bessa R4 being recieving it's award, the Carl Zeiss Ikon SW, manufactured for Zeiss by Cosina, was just honored with a Good Design Award for 2007. The "Good Design Award" is Japan's only comprehensive design evaluation and commendation system. This system itself has its origins in the "Good Design Selection System" (generally known as the "G-Mark System") instituted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry in 1957.

You can find the GDA evaluation of the Zeiss SW at: http://www.g-mark.org/search/Detail?id=33074&sheet=jury&lang=en.

Congratulations again, Cosina!
