In addition to the discontinuing of the 21/4 Skopar (replaced by the 21/4 Pancake Skopar), the Bessaflex, and the SL lens line announced earlier this year, Cosina yesterday announced it will also be discontinuing the following Voigtlander-branded items:
These items are being discontinued due to either slow sales or upgrades in the works. On a more positive note, Cosina announced that even though it's line of premium SLR lenses has been discontinued there will be one last production run of Pentax KA-mount lenses in the 90, 125, and 180 focal lengths. My personal feeling is that the 28/3.5 Skopar will get the "pancake makeover" along the same lines as the 21/4 and 25/4 to make it more appealing to R4 owners. The 35/1.7 Ultron will probably get an M-mount. These are just guesses, though. {mos_smf_discuss:7} |
