25/4 finder question 1 Year, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
I have the old style finder with my 25/4 and I was wondering how much more than 25mm am I seeing since I don't have the framelines. Or am I viewing 25mm looking through the whole viewer and the newer style with the framelines is a different magnification (this may not be the right word to use) to compensate for adding the framelines. I don't mind not having the lines but was just curious if anybody knew?

My 25 finder dosen't have any framelines, and I use the whole view when composing, without any issues.  Bit of Barrel Distortion, which I ignore.

Yea I get the distortion also but mainly when looking through at an angle. I also use the whole finder to compose my shot, I was just curious how the old style finder was compared to the newer version. I like the finder btw. Nice & bright.

I have the newer finder /w/ framelines. The magnification is the same and the framelines are very close to the edge (from my google-eyed POV) so I can't see too much of an issue with framing w/o having framelines. The only cool thing is a secondary frameline for subjects closer than 3 feet.
