Back to Article

another great article. I love reading it for the lack of MTF and what not comparisons.
anyway 2 questions:
1. There is also a Cosina SW 107 which is essentially the bessa L. Do you suppose thos are pricier compared to the L? or vice versa?
They are exactly the same. The Cosina SW 107 was manufactured before Cosina had secured the Voigtlander brand. They *should* cost the same, unless there is a collectors market for the SW 107 (based on 'rarity'

. There is also the Zeiss Ikon SW, which is an updated L and costs a lot more.

2. You mentioned that the exposure indicatoi is located just noce for you to not need to lift the camera from your eye. Care to elaborate? I notice that the indicatoer were placed a bit far from the hotshoe. And is the indicator visible in bright areas?
The LED indicator ( <- O -> type) is where to top plate and back meet and sits at a 45d angle and the individual LEDs (green arrows, red circle) are raised so that it is clearly visible from both top-down and looking from the back. It is not visible in the VF, but it is within my peripheral vision when looking through the VF (I wear glasses, so I don't shove my eyeball into the viewfinder).
