I do like the 35f2.5 II. I tend to put it on a M2 and use that as a "pocket" sized camera. It is a very good lens, as good as any of my 35 Summicrons. Not the bite of the Aspherical 35f2, but very smooth tones. The 1/2 stop loss of speed is not that important as I mostly shoot in daylight. If I know that I have to shoot lowlight situations I usually just stick the 35f1.2 on a body. It doesn't get much better than that!

I just finished a roll of film in my bessa L w 25/4. Today I shot a few frames with my Canonet QL-17 trying to finish the roll of film in that camera. Just loaded a roll of XP-2 in my bessa R and plan to take it out tomorrow. Bought a 35/2.5 color skopar & haven't got to use it like I wan't to.

OK, my kit has changed a bit over the years ... for a long while it was an M6 with a 35/2 asph. Then I added an R2 with a Nokton 50/1.5. Once I got used to the two cameras everyday habit I switched the R2 out for an MP with a 50/2 Summicron. Then I went through an unproductive phase and decided to mix things up a bit to spur some creativity. I'm currently working a Rollei 35RF with the Nokton 40/1.4 S.C. (it's easier for me to see the frame lines) and am about to sell the M6 body to fund a R4M and either a 21/4 or 25/4 as the #2 punch. By the way, shooting 90% Tri-X but am thinking about working in some Efke soon. If I was heading out around the world I'd take the new kit but I'd have to add a Mamiya 6 with the 75 and 50 lenses too.

I shoot 90& Tri-X too...I've tried Efke KB25 and KB100 (packaged as Mitsubishi Gekko 100). I absolutely LOVED KB25 in Rodinal. I absolutely hated KB100 in anything...highlights blow way too easily. For 100 speed film I prefer ERA100. I have yet to play with Efke KB400.

I'll need to stick to 400 speed film ... I seem to do a lot of low light. I hear the Rollei film is nice (but expensive) ... lots of silver, etc. Out of convenience, I'll keep plowing along with Tri-X but that's in part due to convenience as I can't say that I have a whole lot of love for that company. This comes from being neck deep in the industry, see my website (www.lightsideps.com) meaning, I've got X-Tol / Refrema automated processing at my fingertips daily. I am starting to think that I'd (kind of) like to start running my own film and processing combinations again .... we'll see, I guess.
