We are &quot;movie-holics&quot; and see on the average 5-6 DVD&#039;s a week. My latest absolute favourute is Wim Wenders &quot;Land of Plenty&quot;. Wenders is at heart a photographer and his visual sense makes you want to &quot;single frame&#039; his movies. You keep looking at the images and go &quot;I wish had shot that!.<br />&quot;Land of Plenty&quot; is stunning and when you realize that it was made in 3 month (from idea to final transfer) and on a $500 000 budget (probably wont even buy the muffins for the original Hollywood blockbuster). Wenders also does an almost 90 minute &quot;walk through&quot; of the movie as an extra on the DVD. he explains the advanyages of shooting HD handheld video (close-ups, low light and being able to do 60 takes! in a day.) and the disadvantages (wide-shots does not work very well). Everybody worked for a set $100/day,from actors to propbuilders and lights, and once out as a DVD the profits are shared. Most of the time when I watch a movie i have no interest in having been on that set. &quot;Land of Plenty&quot; on the other hand - I would have loved to be on the set and seeing the creativity coming to life.
