Extreme and asymmetrical vignetting on a 15mm 1 Year ago Karma: 0
I have a 15mm Heliar that has an extreme and asymmetrical vignetting problem. Only two corners of the image are affected, the upper right and lower left (see sample image ). It's the same on each photo. I assume there is something wrong with the lens. Does anyone know what the issue here is, and if there is there anything I can do to get it easily fixed?

What was the fstop here? Really, it's "optimized" for f5.6. f8 is okay. anything else is either too much vigenetting or too much diffusion.

Thanks for your response. I don't remember the f-stop in this image, but the problem has occurred in every image I have taken with the lens. Every f-stop I've used has produced opposite corner blackness in the upper right and lower left.

That's really odd. It looks like an issue specific to your lens...haven't seen it happen with mine. The pronounced vigenetting I get at f4 is even all around.
