Hello,

Just registered on the forum.
Alongside several rangefinders such as Yashica 35 GSN and Russian Feds and Zorkis, I now own a chrome finish Bessa R3m with a Nokton 40mm f:1,4 and a Color Heliar 75mm f:2,5.

I love that gear and I am glad that Cosina/Voigtlander is offering very good quality equipment at affordable prices.

Glad to share experiences with other users in the future.

Regards,

Raoul

Welcome Raoul!

I wish I were literate in French but my second language in school was Spanish (more important in Los Angeles) and I now live in Taiwan, where Mandarin is required.

I did learn a little from my Canadian cousins who relished on making me say things I didn't understand, though.

The R3M is an awesome camera, especially paired with the 40/1.4. I typically use an R2A with a 35/1.4 SC. Is your Nokton the MC or SC version?

Hi Brian,

I do acknowledge that French is somehow not easy to master (probably a clever manoeuver from my compatriots to remain mysterious and misunderstood ). But we should be all right.
I am not fluent in mandarin chinese, although I had to learn some cantonese when I was in Hong-Kong (but I forgot it all).

I don't have the lens around right now, but I think it is the single coated version. Nevertheless, I love the results I get with it.

The 75mm is also very good, and I find focusing easier than with the 90mm lenses I tried, Leitz or Voigtlander alike.

By the way, I have a question for those who have encountered the same problem. The vulcanite layer on my camera is starting to peel off. Not a big deal, but I would like to solve that when it is still on a very small surface.
Is there any kind of glue I should avoid ? I was thinking neoprene glue, but I am not to sure about it.

Thx.

Regards,
Raoul
