There are a lot of accessories out there for your bessa rangefinder. Some OEM, like the triggerwinder or VC Meter, and some 3rd party like Luigi's cases and LeicaGoodies products.

How are your bessa's "tricked out"?

My Bessa L has a CV sidegrip and a black/green leather wriststrap from Gordy's.

Both my R2 and R2a have trigger winders. One also has the side strap and quick release from LeicaGoodies.

All of my Bessas have a spare set of batteries affixed to the film door with electrical tape.

Mine's just plain. Or should I say "naked"?

DISCLAIMER: The following were shot with (*gasp*) digital tools on digital media. Apologies.

My two R's, and two L's, have the Side Grips. I have to remove these when I want to use the Ball Grip on my L's. My Telemetro has the Trigger Winder, and the Vertical Grip. Love this combination. I have Double-Shoes for all three camera types (A, B & C). My R's have modern Nikon rubber eyepieces attached (works great). Recently got a "Leicagoodies STEER" to use on my Canon 1.2 :-* This works very well, like it was made for it. Particularly nice on the Telemetro 8) Have the CV low angle finder, and the 12, 21, and 25 lenses. Haven't used it much, one of the few original L accessories ;D
For inside shooting with the L's, I use a Stroboframe Bracket, and a Vivitar 283 flash, with a Photoflex inflatable "Softbox". Works great : Also all my Bessas have a Hama Film-Memo attached to the rear doors

I'm boring.
I only have a soft-release fitted. period. I use a P/S wrist strap thru one eyelet. I don't use the supplied case, lens cap or strap.
My T has a Luigi strap and soft-release. I've been thinking of getting a trigger-winder for it but I'm not sure it would be worth getting.

I had the same price issue, but ended up getting it in the end. I put my thoughts down here: http://www.cosina-voigtlander.com/content/view/21/28/
