No problems whatsoever with my R3A. Love it. Feels good in the hands. Ok, that was more than you wanted/needed--but Brian's discussion of that trigger winder got my mind going.

with my R2A the shutter jammed once (quick in-shop fix) and right now there seems to be an issue with the RF focusing cam (it is fine with a 50mm lens but with no other lens does the RF patch line up at infinity).

with my longer-lived and more-beaten R2 I have had zero problems beyond having to tighten the rewind crank handle screw. Took 3 seconds and a flathead jewelers screwdriver.

On my lenses, the barrel of my 50 Nokton loosened once. All the others have been fine.

On my trigger winders, the older one (attached to my R2) is fine. The newer one loosened rather easily and I self-fixed it (details here)

I think I stated in a prior thread that I've had no better or worse experiences (in terms of quality) with Bessas then with other cameras I've owned at the same price point. The lens imaging quality is better then that of most other (SLR lenses, especially) lenses of equal (and sometimes better) price.

My R3A rangefinder patch is not spot on horizontally following a spot of very bad turbulance during a flight recently. Not too bothered about it as it does not really affect focusing, however I miss the 'snap' when focus is gained so I will try to get the camera looked at later this year - cla & rangefinder adjustment.

Does anyone know a good place that caters for Bessa's in London?

Cheers

not quite in London, but Robert White is the CV distrib in the U.K. There are driving directions from London on the Contact page of their website.
