You're a bit too late for bulk Neopan 1600. That's called "Super Presto". I'm shooting mine at EI640, for max shadow detail. I hear it's great for long-tonal range stuff, with the Diafine. A range of eight or nine stops in full fun. Without looking "flat".

I loaded up on bulk Super Presto last Spring with Dirk. Iended up buing eight 100' rolls, altogether. He was great, cleaned out all the local sources he had for it, -scrounging hard- for those "last" rolls. But no-problemo with 36exp cassettes. Fuji is keeping that. Grrr!

In talking with somebody 'in the know' recently, they stated that Kodak is even looking very hard at Diafine as a recommended general purpose developer for many of their films. A real shock.

Those who know what they are doing use film, the rest use digital.

I'm not surprised. Kodak is probably looking at ways of phasing out its general purpose developers (like HC-110). Diafine is a solid choice for films like Tri-X.
