Vertical RF Adjustment On Your Bessa R2A/R3A 1 Year, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
This thread discusses the Content article: Vertical RF Adjustment On Your Bessa R2A/R3A

Great article, thanks Brian! Do you have any advice on adjusting the vertical allignment on a Bessa T? Is it the same procedure?
Thanks,

Steve

Thanks Steve... while you're at it, Brian, is the Hz adjustment much the same for the R2, using the other side of that dumbell shaped cutout under the flash shoe?

I ask because the RF35 I mentioned previously came with both the Vt and Hz a tiny bit out; not enough to want to risk sending it off for repair, however, the adjustment you described is well within my experience. (Once you've figured the vertical on a Canon V series, anything should be possible.)

The hotshoe removal procedure is the same for the R2 (not sure about the T as I don't have one) but the adjustment procedure I described is specific only to the R2A and R3A.

I have an R2M, and it has been a very good little camera, however recently it developed a vertical misalignment on the RF. I tried the technique described in the article on this site, but found that I could not get enough adjustment from the screw to fix the alignment issue (I could make it worse!). Any ideas? - I tried this post of RFF, but the thread was deleted by Mr Gandy who suggested that since the procedure was published here, that this was the more appropriate forum to ask questions on.

The article covered a Bessa R2A only and there are design differences between the different camera models. Those who have tried this technique with an R2A have in large part done so sucessfully. For those with other models it might not work (I try and state this as clearly as possible in the article).

Where are you located?

Thanks for the reply Brian. I live in Maine, but I am currently on the road, replying from Amsterdam.
