It's about a year old...supposing it hasn't been refrigerated, would it do any good to do so now?
Refrigeration or outright freezing better?
Thanks!

I once shot some outdated, non-refrigerated XP2 and most of the frames has these huge grain clumps that looked like Dalmation spots on all the faces! I'll never try that again.
However, I've never had a problem shooting slide film in the same condition...

Ok so now I'm having a panic attack....
Do you mean you'll not shoot C-41 outdated or that you won't shoot it outdated and non-refrigerated?
Thanks, J.

I won't shoot outdated, non-refrigerated XP2 specifically. I've gone through lots of slide film that has suffered through various stages of non-refrigeration past its due date with no problems. I generally don't shoot color neg, so maybe it is a C41 thing. I know it wasn't the chemistry because I was maintaining the machine myself.

xp2 is not comprised of silver hallides like real b&w film and not only that but it's made of ink clouds instead of particles like other colour/c41 films so maybe that had something to do with these odd results.
expired c41 films tend to be grainier and shift tones/colours but this sounds like an odd case indeed...
