Nokton 50/1.5 shade 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Anyone using this lens with a filter? I wonder if the shade is really adequate when using filters, it's only about 13mm beyond the glass surface. Any experience or insight appreciated.

I use a b+w UV filter on my Nokton and haven't encountered any issues...but the filter itself is multicoated and "flare resistant" so that may be a factor.

Yeah, the CV hoods (like on the 50 Nokton, the Skopars, the 35 Ultron...) are somewhat narrow.

On that note I also used to use the same filter on my old type-1 35/2.5 Skopar. No issues with it, either.

Thanks. The filter in question is a Hoya UV that appears to be multi-coated. I'll give it a go and deal with problems if they appear.
