a couple of years ago I took a car ride from Ontario down to South Carolina and stopped at places like Beaufort, Harpers Ferry, Monticello, Gettysburg, Antietam. I had along a Nikon 5700, Bessa T101 with CV 35 f2.5, and a now sold off Canon Elan 7e with two Sigma zooms and 28mm Canon f2.8 lens.
Some of the best shots from that trip were from the Bessa and 35mm lens combo. I was shooting Fuji NPH. It was compact, easy to use, a real treat. I found that the colour slide films I shot with the Canon were mostly overexposed because of a chip incompatability problem with the older Sigma zooms, something that had not been apparent with a few test rolls of colour print film. Sigh. I also found that for bread and butter work the 35mm view was better for me than the 28mm Canon. I eventually sold the Canon body and the several Canon prime lenses I had purchased.
