I find my R3A and 40mm Nokton an awkward shape to get into my everyday bag, so I take my Leica Minilux as a 'just in case' camera.

If I know that I'll be taking photos then I put the R3A over my shoulder too.

As a result of this thread I've actually rethought what I'll do in the future.

I now have a new (larger) work bag that will be ok for the Voigtlander every day, and that will be my main camera. The Leica Minilux is now loaded with date expired E6 destined for xpro in C41.

I'm also keeping some spare film in my office so I don't need to carry it to and from every time I go there.

I carry a Bessa R3A with a CV 40mm all the time. It starts in my shoulder breifcase then moves into my hand when needed.

I have a black Lowepro Vidcam 2 bag I carry my stuff with: R3A/Nokton 50, couple of filters, film, etc; and my wallet. Works for me.

The bag has a lifetime warranty but it's falling apart.

Use that lifetime warranty.

I paid for a bag and it failed after ten years and they sent me new one. Then ten years later it failed and they sent me a new one again.

Maybe I should do that too---get Lowepro to make good. Here's one from the 70's shot with my old Voigtlander Vitomatic 11. All I used as a case was the brown leather case that came with the camera.
