Piss on your R3A...my R's going to look blacker...after some sanding...I gave it a coat this morning...and a second one this evening...the taping took me almost three hours.

You've got balls, my friend. Let it dry for 2 or 3 days before you start fondling. Otherwise the job will have been in vain. Just think, once done, Your Bessa R will be as black as black can be---and shiny.

PS: the gasbags will be envious.

My fifth and final coat will be sprayed on tonight. Once it is dry I will use black shoe polish to waterproof it and to shine it up.<br><br>Post edited by: Voigt Boyd, at: 2007/04/07 04:51

Both my L &amp; my R are still quite new, but I tend to use them &amp; bruise them. I do like to use the half cases on them to absorb the bumps.

Mine R2 and R2a look well-beaten, but I really take no measures to protect them. To me, the fact that they are scratched, dented, peeling, yet still working is testament that they were put together ok.
