Is 6 months the lifespan of an R3M eyepiece? 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
The eyepiece of my R3M split apart. The camera was purchased last winter. I thought for sure that this failure would be covered under the warranty as a defect, but I have been told that this is normal wear and tear, and I must purchase a new eyepiece.

Can anyone confirm that this is an accurate diagnosis? Eyepieces on all other cameras stay intact for years. Understanding CV's efforts in quality control, it seems puzzling that CV's eyepieces would fail from normal wear and tear within six months.
